1st on Google for Bristol Based Mobile Beauty Therapist

Katie Fort is a mobile beauty therapist based in the heart of Bristol. When she came to us wanting to develop an SEO campaign on a budget for her new startup, Cocoon Bristol, we were only too willing to work with her and find a budget that she could work with. Cocoon takes a number of popular beauty treatments, such as pedicures, manicures, waxing and massage and brings them into the comfortable surroundings of their customers across Bristol.

We sat down with Katie and discussed the kinds of searches her potential customers would likely use when looking for her services on Google. Although Katie is not the only practicing mobile beauty therapist in the region, we quickly identified the potential for getting Cocoon ranking on page one for the kind of highly targeted search terms Katie helped us identify.

Cocoon Bristol Google Rankings

We began by making sure the website’s onsite SEO signals, such as site architecture, keyword distribution, meta data and code were as optimised as possible. We then decided that the best approach was to target Katie’s homepage with a sustained organic local SEO campaign. We did this through building awareness using powerful directories like Google and Yelp, as well as a number of trusted local and niche specific directories.

Within the first six months of the campaign, Cocoon’s website traffic increased dramatically and now 70% of visits come from organic search results. The website now ranks just second on Google for the key phrase ‘mobile beauty therapist’ and also appears in Google’s local pack results, showing up on a map of similar businesses in the Bristol area. This strong presence on the search engines has gone a long way in helping Katie establish her new business and build her client base (and all delivered at a budget that didn’t break the bank).
